Our last 2 weeks were filled with practicing our literacy skills. We found trick words and vowel teams, practiced word families and matched upper and lower case letters! We tie dye painted with Emily and made puffy paint! Excited to start our final 2 weeks 🐠☀️🏖️

These ESY learners had quite the summer learning about all kinds of different sea creatures 🌊🐠 Learners got to show off everything they learned this summer today at their showcase! We are so #MineolaProud of these very smart learners! 🦈🪸🪼

Today learners engaged in a “Placemat Discussion” around a shared text. This protocol allows for both independent reflection & collaborative group consensus. Was excited to try this strategy after learning it this week from a workshop with IDE Corp. ! #mineolaproud
