I canāt stop thinking about #adolescence - the Netflix show is a profound achievement, asking deep questions about the role we all play in raising our children, highlighting issues The Children's Society see every day in our work We mustnāt give up on this generation of adolescents

Saddened to hear another story of a young person waiting TWO YEARS for mental health support shared on #BBCQT by this dad Seems to be cross-party support for open-access hubs like those we run The Children's Society - so letās get them scaling up, children canāt wait any longer

Netflixās āAdolescenceā exposed the secret language of emojis sometimes used by teenagers. This exchange means: āYouāre going to be fine,ā followed by, āI am depressed.ā Whatās important is that every adult in a young personās life feels able to start the conversation.

Weāre in parliament today with some of our Oasis Academies students. This afternoon, they will sharing their insights as part of a joint report published by The Children's Society offering recommendations for the Governmentās child poverty strategy. #NOLO

We see the distressing effects of poverty on children's health and wellbeing every day. These figures should be a wake up call to Government to act quickly to prevent another generation of children from growing up in hardship. End Child Poverty

Time to wage war against child poverty Britain will be safer & stronger when we lift more young people from multiple direct threats of poverty First strike: letās take down 2-child benefit cap Weāre battle-ready at The Children's Society to advance the capabilities of our children

Everyone at The Children's Society cheering this news- based on our research and experience with young people, itās exactly what weāve been calling on for many years and so pleased this Government has both listened and acted, will make a difference to thousands of children šš»
