New idea today: played a song for Ss. Lights off, no info on the song, just listened. Gave them Qs to consider while listening to express&develop a bank of experiences/feeling words to use in future writing. They LOVED Led Zeppelin!! david french Jennifer Haws #GlenwoodKidsDeserveIt

A1: I think mindfulness is making sure that you are paying attention to your Ss needs and situations, esp outside of school, while you are delivering your instruction. It affects how they are able to work more than we know #ChampForKids

A2: I always try to take a moment when my grade level fam are in the hallways to make everyone laugh. I feel like nothing can make someone feel included or forget their stress like a joke Jen Malit Tony Trovato Andi Larson @SandiHank and Bookout #ChampForKids

Pirate Day STEAM activity with our 4th grade buddies. Ss came up with a disguise to give Tom the Turkey so that he wouldn’t become Thanksgiving dinner! Love the collaboration and creativity! Thanks @RepaVB for helping organize! Thanks John McFarland for teaming up with us!

This very honest letter touches MANY frustrations I have with the current state of education. Andrew teaches/coaches at the high school I attended. He got into it for ALL the right reasons and just can't keep doing it. Something MUST change. Respect and best wishes, Andrew.

These kids worked SO hard this year! From food, coat, and shoe drives, to fundraising and spreading some positive vibes around GES. They really did live up to our motto of #Aspire2Inspire

Student agency for our Mon M.M.!Classmates expressed frustration bc some peers aren’t making good choices when information is being shared. Solution: Classroom leaders are leading discussions about how we can address this problem fairly and giving them ownership for the solution
