S2s were making Mac & Cheese this week, learning how to make a simple all in one roux sauce. Understanding how the starch within the flour thickens their sauce as it is heated. Some amazing results, lots of great sauces made and delicious food ideal for their lunch 🤩

S3 HFT did a great job making Chicken Curry this morning, linking the recipe to the Scottish Dietary Goals and thinking about adaptions which could help us to meet them further 🙌

S2 took home their finished Christmas cakes today after a month-long ongoing project 🥰 Collaborating to bake, designing their own food labels that meet the legal requirements, coating with marzipan and icing, and then making sugarpaste decorations! Great work 🙌 Holy Rood RC HS
