Great to be back out on the marsh for more surveys for my #PhD with Fiona Woods. Today we were focusing on #saltmarsh #biodiversity, #shoreline profiles & #birds.

Early start today for #fieldwork on the #saltmarsh with Zoe Morrall. Is it obvious which of us is a morning person and which isn't?

It finally happened, I got stuck. 2.5 years into working on/with mud and I can only blame #saltmarsh surveys and Charlie Mountain for what happened yesterday 🤣 I am not built for mud walking!

Some #birdphotography taken during surveys conducted today on the marshes for my #PhD. Was wondering why this buzzard(?) and crow were fighting...turns out zooming into the 2nd picture you can just about see a mouse the buzzard had caught, that the crow clearly wanted in on.

I'm pleased to share my first #PhD chapter #OpenAccess in #MarinePollutionBulletin! We looked at shipping traffic in the NE Atlantic and how it is changing in space and time.
