rereading bsd (again) and i always find it so funny because akutagawa is made out to be some nasty villain in the beginning but when you think about the story from his pov you really can’t blame him for wanting to kill atsushi😭

we know atsushi has this warped view about aku being so power obsessed and will kill anyone recklessly just because they are in his way.

during aku’s knight state aku only wanted to save the people like aya and atsushi. atsushi is used to aku’s rage and obviously aku’s eyes carries that deep hatred and rage but what happens when aku no longer carry that grudge, rage or trauma he had experience?

because behind aku’s rage lies a person who just wants to live. when aku is not burden by the memories of course his eyes will reflect that aku has a soul and he is indeed a human, not the black fanged hell hound or beast that everyone and even himself thinks he is.
