It has been a wonderful joy to meet teachers and children in Gaza over the years – and learn from their empathy, curiosity and humanity. I don’t know if those teachers or children are still alive. I don’t know. Please, we need a ceasefire, now.

UN experts have warned that we are witnessing a genocide in the making. Home by home, hospital by hospital, generation by generation, Palestinians are being wiped out before our very eyes. MPs had the chance to demand a ceasefire. The majority chose to cheer on war instead.

US bombs have already killed 12,000 in Gaza with thousands more trapped under rubble. Imagine how many more are dying from preventable illness, dehydration & starvation! The collective punishment death sentence will be far higher than those killed by bullets & bombs.

Henry Kissinger’s time on earth was spent organising the slaughter of millions of people on behalf of the rich and powerful, whose respect for him transcended party loyalties. May he rot in hell. tribunemag.co.uk/2023/11/finall…

7 days. That’s how long people in Gaza were given to weep for the dead and search for loved ones under the rubble. Now, they will endure fresh horrors of bombardment, starvation and collective punishment. We must — and we will — keep demonstrating for a permanent ceasefire.

Margaret Thatcher laid waste to working-class communities, privatised our public services, and set in train the destruction of the post-war settlement founded by Labour. Starmer's praise of her isn't smart politics. It's a shift to the Right, and a failure of Labour values.

Junior doctors didn’t waste billions of taxpayers’ money on dodgy contracts. Junior doctors didn’t sell off our health service. Junior doctors didn’t cause record-high waiting lists. The Tories created this crisis. Solidarity with junior doctors striking to save our NHS.

The British military were sent to support Israel in October. Since then, aircrafts have flown to and from Israel more than 50 times. Israeli tanks, drones & parts of bombing jets used to bombard Gaza are made in Britain. Britain must immediately end its complicity in genocide.

We continue to march because human beings continue to die. In our minds was Tom Hurndall who died on this day in 2004, shot by the IDF while trying to save Palestinian children. 20 years later, we are still asking: when will the massacre of Palestinians end?

The billionaire class are doubling their wealth while our public services are in the gutter. Labour must be on the side of the many, not the few - and commit to a wealth tax. Now.

The UK government could have called for a ceasefire to bring about peace. They chose to bomb one of the poorest regions in the world instead.

From the horse's mouth. The Government followed the US into another damaging bombing campaign in the Middle East - and the Opposition went along with it without a murmur.

The UK has the lowest level of corporation tax in the G7. Meanwhile, our public services are battered & starved of funds. Starmer and Reeves' cosying up to big business is bad policy and bad politics.

A reminder of the 'crimes' left-wingers have been blocked for: ❌ liking a Nicola Sturgeon tweet about testing negative for covid ❌ calling for Labour to be bolder in its economic policy ❌ supporting the last Labour Leader Meanwhile, the Labour Leadership tried to save Azhar

Momentum 🌹 (@peoplesmomentum) 's Twitter Profile Photo

This rhetoric is divisive and damaging. Young people have been shafted by the Tories, facing high rents, high debts & low pay. Labour's Leadership should offer them hope, from abolishing tuition fees to investing in jobs and training, instead of demonising the disabled.

Children are now dying of dehydration and malnutrition in Gaza. Let's be absolutely clear: using starvation of civilians as a method of warfare is a war crime.

Wes Streeting has received tens of thousands of pounds from corporate donors linked to private healthcare. He has opposed pay & funding demands from doctors & nurses, while rejecting calls to end NHS privatisation. Who's really standing up for working-class people?
