The Alberta NDP is committing $50 million to building the West Calgary Catholic High School.

In the UCP’s 2023 budget, they only gave funding for one new school in Calgary. Since 2019, 36,000 new students have entered Alberta schools; however, student-teacher ratios have not kept pace with this growth, leading to a shortfall of 2,000 teachers and 1,500 support staff.
