Adding my voice. We must have a #GeneralElectionNow. Having a PM that no ordinary member of the public has voted for is intolerable. It cannot happen.

I don't know what question Boris Johnson is the answer to, but I do know it's not "who can best lead the UK through its toughest times in a generation?"

I'm going to try to avoid the psychodrama of the Tory leadership election. I don't even think it matters who they choose. The damage has been done, the die cast. The country will suffer till the Tories are out & sadly even beyond that. Brexit has done for us.

If Sunak has the support of the MPs, but Johnson the support of the members, & Hunt can't be moved as Chancellor, nor Cleverly from the FO, then what deal is being stitched up. Neither will want HO & we can't have 2 PMs. Anyone know what's going on?

Anyone else watched Everything, Everywhere, All at Once? I really loved it. So many layers. Moving, funny & profound. Two others I watched it with just didn't get it though & I can't understand it. Definite Oscar contender for me.

What's happening to Twitter is terrifying. Almost everything is pretty scary right now & I'm fighting the very privileged urge to give up & get on with my 'relatively untouched by the chaos' life. I won't because some people can't walk away. The despair is real though.

I've gone & done it. Created an escape from Musk's twitter on Mastodon. I'm there as [email protected] if anyone's interested & it's not as difficult as I thought to set up. Staying here for a while in the hope it doesn't all go to shit.

Are there any politicians telling people that we can only reduce inward migration if we force the birth rate up? We'll soon not have enough workers to pay pensions 🤷‍♀️
