Great to have contributed to this paper on using #CRISPR base editing to boost fetal hemoglobin to treat #SickleCellDisease led by Dr Mohankumar in India and now published in eLife - the journal - CRISPR base editors are already the next big thing - thanks David R. Liu doi.org/10.7554/eLife.…
Kumarasamypet Mohankumar (Mohankumar K. Murugesan) aims to develop genome-editing strategies to treat genetic blood disorders. He says the award will “help us extend our published preclinical work to in vivo models and, in turn, evaluate its potential clinical applications”.
Thanks to eLife Community for this award. It would not be possible without the support from Centre for Stem Cell Research _ CMC _ inStem iBRIC-inStem Department of Biotechnology
