Faith-filled Words Caleb had given everything of himself to God. At the age of 85, he said, "As yet I am as strong this day as I was on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in.(Joshua 14:11)

A few days ago, "Christian" conservatives were having an absolute meltdown because Matt Chandler said, "neither side is for us." I wonder if any of them have the humility to admit he was right after seeing the agenda of the #RNC2024? #RNCConvention

One of the things made abundantly clear throughout the Scripture is that nobody is fit to lead God's people other than God himself. Within a matter of weeks after God parted the Red Sea and appeared in the cloud/fire, Aaron was setting up false gods and the Israelites were

People say Sola Scriptura isn't in Scripture... but here it is. For context, the title given to Moses was "prophet". This is the highest form of leadership: a Prophet who successfully performs signs and wonders. God told the people to listen to YHWH and his voice/commands.

My 9yo started creating this world of the Good Side vs. Bad Side. Funny that at 9, she understands if the Bad Side has a Gun Shop, then the Good Side needs some guns too 🀣 Somehow, this is still a difficult concept for nearly half the adults in the U.S. πŸ€”πŸ€”

One of my favorite sentences ever: β€œthere is more mercy in Christ than sin in us” (Richard Sibbes). When we lose patience with ourselves or get discouraged at how slowly we change, it is happy to remember the depths of Christ’s mercy. It is always enough to meet our need.

Yikes... according to the papists, "the whole point" of the Bible is to be impossible for regular Christians to understand so that we will accept whatever the Roman overlords subject us to 😬😬😬

One reason politics seems so 'cultish' these days is because people crave community, but local churches refuse to put in the effort to cultivate it. When churches lock people out and only interact for sermons a few times a week, people will seek out real community elsewhere.

People talking about their preferred political candidate in the context of who is "more Christian" than the other shows how ignorant Americans are of the Gospel. You are either dead in sin or alive in Christ. It is not a spectrum. There's no such thing as "closer to alive."

In these instances in scripture where God has previously been speaking with Joshua (or another prophet) in great detail, why doesn't YHWH just tell him directly who it was that sinned? Why have him cast lots? I have a theory, but I'm curious to hear what others think.

Instead of "hoping for" certain circumstances, I'm "hoping in" the redemption of Jesus for my life. He will lead me. I don't have to figure it all out. If I walk out today in ways that honor God, He will lead me to beautiful tomorrows. ❀️

Christianity is a powerful explanatory framework for both the world and our individual lives. It makes sense out of the riddles of the universe as well as the riddles in our hearts.

I'm waiting for the day when you go to Wikipedia and it finally just shows a message saying: "Sorry, we had to shut down because you wouldn't give us that measly $1 we kept asking for."

Dear Christian, Stop feeding the outrage machine and feed the hungry. Stop defending your doctrine and defend the oppressed. Stop serving your ideologies and serve the poor. Stop loving conspiracy theories and love your neighbors.

I don't understand the online 'christians' who spend all their time acting offended and outraged with the world for behaving like the world. 1. Apart from Christ you're no better than any of them. 2. What part of "you will he hated by all for my name's sake" do you not get?

I'm curious, as the "body positivity" movement continues to grow, why do proudly obese people still use photo filters to make themselves look slimmer? Have you ever seen someone use a filter to make themselves fatter? πŸ€”πŸ€” seems a little fishy to me...
