People talking about their preferred political candidate in the context of who is "more Christian" than the other shows how ignorant Americans are of the Gospel. You are either dead in sin or alive in Christ. It is not a spectrum. There's no such thing as "closer to alive."

In these instances in scripture where God has previously been speaking with Joshua (or another prophet) in great detail, why doesn't YHWH just tell him directly who it was that sinned? Why have him cast lots? I have a theory, but I'm curious to hear what others think.

Instead of "hoping for" certain circumstances, I'm "hoping in" the redemption of Jesus for my life. He will lead me. I don't have to figure it all out. If I walk out today in ways that honor God, He will lead me to beautiful tomorrows. ❤️
