Indeed, we’re receiving reports of significant displacement from #Darfur & #Kordofan to Northern & White Nile. Newly displaced families report similar trends of atrocities as those reported in Tawila: killings, rape, arrests, physical harm, family separation. This needs to end now!

🚨A protection crisis is escalating fast in Sudan’s Darfur and Kordofan regions. UNHCR warns thousands are fleeing violence—many for the second or third time—as conditions on the ground deteriorate rapidly.

Heartbreaking to hear of the violence & suffering people fleeing #Darfur & #Kordofan keep facing. Thousands remain trapped in extremely dire conditions. All civilians must be protected & aid must reach them. The brutal conflict in #Sudan must end. unhcr.org/news/briefing-…

Osman, displaced from Darfur, found safety in Kassala. Amid hardship, he nurtured a garden outside his shelter. After 4 months, flowers bloomed - a quiet act of resilience.🌼 Like Osman, the people of Sudan have endured so much. They deserve peace. #KeepEyesonSudan 🇸🇩

Some women and girls faced unimaginable violations during displacement from El Fasher. To provide some much-needed support, we supported the Ministry of Health in Tawila, North #Darfur, to help them heal and rebuild their lives. #Sudan #KeepEyesOnSudan unhcr.org/news/briefing-…

I spent yesterday in Korma with survivors of El Fasher atrocities. So many halting, harrowing conversations in Arabic, or translated from Zaghawa, about horror and misery. Then Haseena pushed through crowd. Speaking in perfect English, she wanted the world to hear her story.

Families fleeing violence in El Fasher arrive in Al Dabbah, Northern State, exhausted, traumatized & with nothing. #UNHCR & partners are on the ground, installing Rub Halls, delivering tents, relief kits & protection services. More arrive every hour. Urgent support is needed now.

Following a journey from Port Sudan to Tawila, Tom Fletcher wrapped up his visit to Sudan. He met survivors of horrific violence and urged the world to hear their stories and step up support. Sudan needs peace. Civilians need protection. Aid workers need safety and funding.

Tawila in #Sudan has exploded into a mega-settlement, but aid cannot keep pace. The risk of disease is escalating as water & sanitation services cannot keep up. Without a major surge of aid, conditions will collapse very quickly. 🔗nrc.no/news/2025/nove…

Cross-border operations from #Chad to #Sudan🇸🇩 remain crucial for our response efforts in #Darfur. Our latest convoy of two trucks 🚚 carrying core relief items just crossed into Darfur and is headed to East Darfur with vital supplies for families displaced from El Fasher.

Violence in #Elfasher has displaced thousands, not only local communities and IDPs, but also South Sudanese refugees. Some of these refugees fled to Tawila, North Darfur, where UNHCR and partners distributed family tents this week, providing vital shelter support to 35 families.
