September 4: Central Transfer Station, Girdwood Transfer Station, Administration, and Call Center will be CLOSED. The Anchorage Regional Landfill Commercial scale house opens 6:30am, Residential gate open 7:30am both lanes close at 3pm.  Curbside service will NOT be affected.

Chill is in the air, and it is time to start winding down the compost program for the year. October 31 is the last day for curbside compost. Compost carts become frozen organic popsicles, making it tough to empty. We will do our best to maintain service through October 31.

Chickens love pumpkins, full of vitamins and minerals, and can be parasite prevention. You can use Sharewaste.com, a third-party app, to find nearby chickens to donate your used Jack-o-lantern instead of tossing in the landfill. #lessinourlandfill

If we missed you yesterday, we will pick up to 3 additional bags for free next week. Please clear a 10' area around dumpsters, residents please ensure your cart isn't balanced on a snow berm or buried, and if your road is not yet cleared, please retrieve your carts asap for plows

While our trucks head out daily for service, some residents and commercial accounts are inaccessible for various reasons, heavy snow laden trees block the roadway, objects or vehicles are parked too close to containers, etc. causing intermittent service. We will catch up!
