#dndThought: Downtime has been in D&D a long time. But looking at the 5E concept, especially Xanathar's and new alternatives present by Hello MCDM in Kingdoms and Warfare I think Birthright might be a "forgotten" setting with ideas to mine and modernize.

#dndthought: The Astral has a big story problem (to me) in 5E. Existing there means unlimited time to learn and develop skills. Lots of mage towers should be there. Unless there is an unwritten rule that without time there can be no change/growth & then the astral becomes a trap.
