Last wine scrub Wednesday of the year! 🥲

Students working hard on pipetting this morning and by the afternoon they had a message to decode from their combined plates spelling a message.

After getting to know each other with new icebreaker activities all week our class has jumped into the art and science of microscopy with our micro and heme faculty leading the way!

Chemistry doesn’t have pretty pictures of cells to examine so instead we put on a livestream of Cornell Lab while we worked on our standard curve graphs. A little bit of the great outdoors inside.

Our students got hands-on with hemoglobin by crafting their own “pet” hemoglobin models! This activity helped them explore the structure and components that make hemoglobin so vital and interesting!
