Again, these claims don't pass the sniff test. If the UK had started fracking two years ago and turned Lancashire and Sussex into Texas we would now be fully energy indepdent? Seriously? Even fracking firms don't think this. Such claims are just taking their audience for idiots.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to visit our new manufacturing facility near Salt Lake City. The facility is just ramping up, it was great to watch the build up of the first Cubes coming out. We are planning to do a lot more from here, so stay tuned.

Absolutely F*****G INCREDIBLE! Rishi Sunak just spent 2 minutes boasting about how Northern Ireland is the "most exciting exciting investment zone on the planet" because it has full access to the UK and EU market... You know... like we did before Brexit! #WindsorFramework

It's really fascinating how Chinese investors, industry assocations and recyclers keep using 5-6 years for an EV battery (previously 4-5 years) when they calculate future recycling volumes. It's equally interesting how the story writes itself that when these volumes aren't

I’m really liking the BBC’s fact checking services addressing false information, providing clear descriptions of the claims and sources that debunk them. Near 50C air temperatures are nevertheless quite terrifying alarm bells 💀 bbc.co.uk/news/science-e…

i visited CATL, the world's largest battery manufacturer, in china early this week and saw the production process from lithium compounds through to tested cells. i asked our host if the company would consider opening a factory in australia and he gave me a sobering answer…

Batteries are often described as resource-intensive. With a 95% proven recycling rate and a 10yr life, over 50% of battery minerals mined today will still be in use in *130 years*. Add 5% performance improvement per cycle, and they will be delivering services *forever*. Boom! 1/2

Lithium ion battery cell prices at $82.6/kWh (NCM, NCA, LFP basket) in December 2023 - @Benchmarkmin This will fall further in January 2024 to new all time lows thanks to the falling price of all battery raw materials. It will make for interesting OEM contract negotiations

I used to love the New Scientist but what it (Alice Klein) has done here is SHAMEFUL It has taken an implausible worst case scenario to sow doubt regarding the efficacy of cultivated meat. A super important tech. Just to get a few clicks? I thought they were better than this.

This is a new low even for this clown show of a government that has totally failed on climate action. Their plan being found unlawful once might have been dismissed as carelessness, but a second time shows they are incapable of delivering for the country news.sky.com/story/governme…

It will take longer and longer time for lithium-ion batteries to reach end of life. While 80% of batteries placed on the market in 2010 reached end of life after 10 years only around 35% of those placed on the market in 2020 will come back in 2030. In 2040 only 21% of 10 year

I understand nuclear proponents want spinning mass to be important, but as I explain here, that is simply outdated thinking. Batteries and grid forming inverters are basically better in every way, especially regarding anti-fragility. Sorry. x.com/AukeHoekstra/s…
