Remembering Sgt Ian McKay who led a night assault by 3PARA on an enemy machine gun post at Mount Longdon on 11th/12th June 1982. He was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross for his actions. He was 29. #Falklands 3 PARA TheParachuteRegiment The Parachute Regimental Association 🙏🏻

Wherever I travel if there’s a Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery ( Commonwealth War Graves ) I try to visit. This cemetery for 14 souls from WW2 is in the Faroe Islands who to this day are appreciative that British troops occupied their islands in 1940 to save them from German occupation….
