Happy to share the first part of my thesis, published today as a preprint. Fruitful collaboration with Akash Arani (co-first author), Joshua Weitz and Mart Krupovic. Many thank for your efforts in this work 😀🤟🏼 Fernando Santos Sánchez Josefa Anton
Happy to share our latest work that is fruit of a brilliant collaboration with Chwan-Deng Hsiao & Yuh-Ju Sun, IMB Academia Sinica Unraveling the structure and function of a novel SegC protein interacting with the SegAB chromosome segregation complex in Archaea academic.oup.com/nar/article/do…
Our review on the chromatin transcription relationship in archaea is out: doi.org/10.1111/mmi.15…. ChIP-exo profiles show how chromatin protein Cren7 contributes to the formation of chromatin-free regions around promoters in archaea lacking histones first seen by Georgi Marinov.
‼️Exciting news this morning! Our new preprint on human skin #archaeome is online. A great collaboration with the Schleper lab Schleper Lab Vienna, spearheaded by Alexander Mahnert🇪🇺🇺🇦 supported by many colleagues and friends! 👇Details: biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Really proud to see this work published -- a thrilling detective story I was lucky to be a part of. Big kudos to Stephen Tang and the entire team for an impressive collaborative effort. See Stephen's thread below to learn more... (and read the paper!). drive.google.com/file/d/1_paZuA…
I'm happy to share that my work from Boxer Lab @stanford on archaeal bipolar tetraether lipids is out in Chemical Science: pubs.rsc.org/en/Content/Art… We characterized the structural properties of archaeal lipid assemblies and linked those to functional behavior like membrane fusion.
Caroline Langley (Caroline Langley) is crossing the country to start her postdoc, while Peter Dietzen, Michael Emerman & Jeannette Tenthorey have given up on X. I am happy to announce their discovery about ancient origins of antiviral Mx proteins biorxiv.org/content/10.110… 1/
It's out!! Great review on Terrabacteria led by Bacille Diderm Beaud and Najwa Taib with Christophe Beloin. So much to discover on envelope biogenesis and the diderm-to-monoderm transition in this understudied clade! Congrats Judit and Jason Kaelber - well done!
Have a look at our latest paper on the #archaeal tailed virus infecting the dominant human #gut #methanogen. Don't miss a great 🧵by Diana Baquero 👇
Well, tom delmont and I wrote this short piece for YOU, and it is now online at Nature News & Views! nature.com/articles/d4158… It was a great opportunity to discuss the utility of MAGs from marine systems to support bioprospecting and to deliver one of the promises of microbiology 😇
