RR MOT time! Good opportunity to refresh all the brakes and suspension.

Rear discs, pads and handbrake shoes done. No Dave Monks, I haven't done the rose joints yet.... Think I got my moneys worth out of those brakes.

Not a complete list. Frank isn't on it....

Front discs, pads and ARB links done. Forgot how massive these discs are! It's just like working on a Ford Cargo lorry.... though perhaps a little more sophisticated.

Quick swap of a track rod end that I wasn't happy with and the old girl passed her mot for another year. New brakes made quite a difference. 15 years old and every nut and bolt came loose without a fight. Surprised and impressed.

I went to Birmingham for some car bits yesterday. Blimey! Cities! What's all that about? Wierd places with millions of people, busy roads and humungous buildings! I was quite glad to get home....

The squeaking from the rear of the RR over was driving me nuts. Absolutely no play in the knuckle bushes so it's out with the hypodermic, then a smear of silicone. Complete silence returns....

Jonathan Scott of @scottbrosduo is without doubt one of the finest organists in the world today. We are incredibly lucky to have him give a recital at St Cuthberts, Clungunford in Shropshire. His performances are always varied, entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable.

Big day today!! After waiting over 6 years, I'm having a total ankle replacement this afternoon. A few tricky problems with old metalwork but a phenomenal piece of engineering. Excited apprehension.....

Two weeks on. This is what a total ankle replacement looks like. Plaster off and stitches out today. I wouldn't do it for fun but I've known worse!

I have this mighty fine wasp nest in my workshop. What intrigues me is the little tiny object beside it, also built by the wasps. Anyone know what it is for?

I reckon south Shropshire is quite a nice place. Very lucky to live here. It's beautiful.
