MIT baseball sophomore Mason Estrada was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the seventh round of the 2025 Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft on Monday. The Dodgers selected Estrada with the 225th overall pick in the MLB draft. mitathletics.com/news/2025/7/14…

First up as we welcome the class of 2029 is Kaia Tan from Westlake Village, CA! Kaia plays second base and outfield and has some serious pop in her bat 💥 she plans to major in brain and cognitive science. Fun fact: she has a freckle in her eye 👁️ !

Next up! Lauren is a gritty catcher and second baseman who takes pride in her softball IQ! She is participating in Michigan’s Senior All Star game before heading to campus ⭐️ Lauren plans to major in mechanical engineering at MIT. Her fun fact is she also plays the piano 🎶

Holland is an outfielder and lefty power hitter who brings resiliency and toughness 💪 and we can’t wait to see what she’ll do once she’s on campus! Holland plans to major in biological engineering and loves legos & love island! 🏝️ Welcome to MITSB, Holland!!

Welcome Kaaya Mehta from Plano, Texas who will be studying biochemical engineering and will be on the pre-med track! 🥼 💉 Kaaya participated in nine different sports growing up! We can’t wait for Kaaya’s bat in the line up, athleticism at the hot corner and energy!
