Nice video but 3 of the past 7 VA TOY have been black men and there are none in this video. We have to be intentional about our teacher advertising/celebration ads. You can’t be what you don’t see.

My students had some great questions about the politics behind the TOTY process. It was very eye opening.

I got nominated for TOTY but I’m on a PIP so I was ineligible. It still counts. This my 2nd yr at this school.

Another black male teacher is getting stoned for something that’s NOT that deep. People asking for his head professionally when the children are innocent in this. He has permission and support as a content creator. It’s wild.

That number rose to 42% this year and that doesn’t even count any retakes that may pass.
