That’s my first placement over! I have had the most amazing time in the loveliest school with the best staff and children, couldn’t have asked for a better experience and I’m so sad to leave ❤️

Such a fun way of exploring the properties of materials today in our first primary science session of year 2 with @ehusci_louise using hooks and real life contexts with forensic science 🧪🔎

Great day today with the core subjects- looking at forces and magnetism in Science 🧲, exploring quality non fiction books and the benefits in English 📚 and finding ways of addressing errors and misconceptions in Mathematics ❌🧮

First focus subject session today, we began exploring what history is and how history as a topic is perceived. During the second part of the session we took a heritage trail around Ormskirk, super interesting and really important to learn the history of our local areas 🗺🕵️‍♀️

Over our 3 design technology lessons we have used the iterative process to design and create a kitchen for a character! Our chosen character was rapunzel 👸🏼🚰 such a fun and creative way of exploring the theme of ourselves and others 🤩 EHU | Education

Second placement is over! So sad to be leaving such a supportive and welcoming school and the loveliest year 2’s 🥲 I have had an amazing time and have loved every second ❤️ it really is such a rewarding profession 🤩

International Day of Women and Girls in science 👩🏽‍🔬🧬🔬It is so important that children are introduced to female scientists to raise awareness of the gender stereotypes that prevent women and girls pursuing education and careers in science #IDWGIS2023 #IDWGIS

This morning, we used objects to create notations for music and chose instruments that we thought would be fitting, also looking at how we can assess pitch, timbre, dynamics and texture 🥁🎹

In history, we looked at learning through drama with the Romans by using paired improvisation, tableaux,conscience alley and hot seating. We also looked at Boudicca and how she would be perceived/feel about leading the revolt. To conclude we considered the key concepts for this🏛️

In our history focused subject study, we reflected on our LOtC trip to Speke Hall from the prior week and explored how to make a guide for children to use. We were enquiring into the past of Speke Hall to find out how we can incorporate this into a classroom 🏰🌳🗺️

In art we looked at using artists and their work to cater towards specific objectives, in this session we focused on the artist Charlie Mackesy and found ways to collate this into a sequence of lessons 🎨〰️🐴

Today we had a learning outside the classroom day! We looked at how we can incorporate these activities into our own classroom. We used a planetarium to learn about space,photography with a trim trail and practiced mindfulness outside,great activities to enrich cultural capital🌳

What an amazing final placement, so emotional to be leaving the loveliest school! I’ve truly had the best time, couldn’t have asked for a better experience to finish my teacher training🥹 onto the final stages before I’m a fully qualified teacher 👩‍🏫🤩

Graduated with a first class BA Hons Primary Education with QTS yesterday 🥹 Very excited to be teaching my own year 3 class in September ✨ Doesn’t feel real at all but can’t wait for the next adventure 👩‍🏫🎓
