The best learning comes from uninterrupted, child led play. The learning journey of these 2 children was fantastic. Sharing their vision, listening with respect, and solving problems which meant compromise and negotiation. Creating a park that keeps us healthy! Pawlett Primary School Academy

Time for a stroll through the park wearing summer shoes and hats. Stopping off at the mud cafe for biscuits-cake for the baby. Leading their play and implementing their knowledge of healthy lifestyles. We are always so thankful to you all for your donations! Pawlett Primary School Academy

Cooking club week 2 - Sunshine Sausage Skewers Today we pushed ourselves to try something new! We prepared our skewers and then took them home to grill. Setting up and clearing up, we all worked together to finish our task. Pawlett Primary School Academy

Harry the tortoise came to visit us for the day. We used our scientific skills to investigate the best waterproof materials for a shelter for him. As the children built the props for the shelters they broke out into song… What a beautiful moment! Pawlett Primary School Academy Megan Barrett

We make every effort to ensure there are opportunities to write, read, and explore number all through our learning environment. Mark making, maths and reading should be accessible everywhere, this enables us to facilitate a natural love and ability to 'do'! Pawlett Primary School Academy

We have so much fun with our writing in Heron class. Our year one children were able to demonstrate all of their fantastic skills and most importantly have fun - there was so much laughter when writing these. We are passionate writers and I couldn't be prouder! Pawlett Primary School Academy

We didn’t write anything in English today! Hot seating allowed us to compose questions for nurses from a hospital and a doctors surgery. We used our oracy skills to compose a list of who, what, why, where and when questions and then ‘interviewed’ our guests. Pawlett Primary School Academy

It is so fantastic when our learning enquiry knowledge is shown in our English guided drawing sessions. Our fact file knowledge about important historical nurses and the portraits of these brave nurses is super sticky! Interpretation, understanding and empathy. Pawlett Primary School Academy

Fabulous time at Pawlett 5k Plod this morning. We are the most fabulous school in the middle of the most wonderful community! It is always lovely to go and be part of what is going on around us, even if it means a sprint to the finish line! 💚🏃‍♀️💚 Pawlett Primary School Academy

Our whole maths was Oracy skills to explore money. We instigated and challenged. Some of us chose to stretch leading us to column addition. We didn’t have to, it wasn’t on the ‘plan’ but because we are fantastic mathematicians so it was the natural next step! Pawlett Primary School Academy

Guided drawing was fantastic today. Rob Biddulph’s self portrait tutorial helped us to draw ourselves as real life super hero’s. Reception and year 1 produced amazing, thoughtful drawings. ‘I am a teacher because it is my dream’. What an honour this job truly is. Pawlett Primary School Academy

This week I completed the Middle Leadership Development Programme. Maths journaling is a big passion of mine and it was fantastic to explore its impact and present this. Listening to the others was really inspiring and reaffirmed the fantastic ethos that is TPLT! Pawlett Primary School Academy
