We have loved decorating our classroom today in preparation for the coronation celebrations on Friday afternoon!

The children had an amazing time last week testing out the flight simulator!

Our coronation celebrations have begun👑🇬🇧

We had a fantastic time celebrating the coronation of King Charles on Friday. The children particularly enjoyed pinning the diamond on the crown. The highlight was definitely the finale of sleeping lions. We also had some interesting responses to “if I were king for the day…”

Thank you to all of our amazing parents for your kind donations of cakes, biscuits and sweets. You truly helped to make the afternoon as special and as memorable as possible for our children. We were overwhelmed by your generosity 👏🇬🇧

We have enjoyed doing some compass work on the yard as part of our geography topic. 🧭

Super proud of my children already this week, two really tough days but they have been amazing and not let it phase them. Two more papers to go. Keep going year two⭐️

Another test ticked off. Now we are enjoying an hour thinking about world mental health week and discussing how we have been feeling this week. The children are making cards to make somebody feel better and writing about things that make them happy.

And not to forget the mood booster dancing! (They are much better than me)

And we are DONE! So incredibly proud of every single one of you. A massive thank you to Miss Aspin and Mrs Haworth for all of your support, it is greatly appreciated. Now it’s time to enjoy some bubbles🤩

This morning, the children have enjoyed composing some of their own music using their choice of instrument. They did a fantastic job. Mrs Haworth

Happy 75th birthday to the NHS. The children are busy creating an acrostic poem for our NHS heroes.

Our NHS birthday/thank you cards made it to Royal Blackburn hospital. They really appreciated every card that the children made. Well done year 2👏
