We need to move away from the system where arbitrary numbers define an entire piece of media. Reviews are fine but we've become so desensitized because there's a large group of people that only care about the score.

Budget affects more than most people know. If you want Capcom level sprites it's going to cost you a pretty penny. Ask yourself if people really respect 2D games enough these days for that kind of budget. Keep in mind something like Metroid Dread still got shit for being 2D.
