Air Greenland worker: your flight is delayed because they closed security so the crew can’t board the plane.
Uh, what?!? (Uproar from various passengers)
Worker: if you want details, go ask security. I don’t know anything. I’ve never seen this before.
#WTF
I came to Ilulissat, Greenland because I wanted to see more icebergs. Judging from what I saw in the fjord as we were about to land, I won’t be disappointed.
“When you’re hungry for fun”—Kims American Grill potato chips. Made in Denmark. (And fun that I was able to use the Danish I’ve learned on Duolingo to read stuff on the bag)
Fairly mild flavor. And that means it’s not very American. C+
Greenland is so vast that it’s impossible to convey the size and scale in even a handful of photos. So, I just look for textures, shades and scenes that look cool to me. And no matter what I capture in a photo, it’s just a tiny snippet of what I see around me.
Nuuk, Greenland has a tiny airport. But, forget about that—Ilulissat definitely takes the cake for smallest international airport I’ve ever seen. Check out this photo. That’s it. That’s all there is.
Another first for me in Greenland:
“Due to adverse weather conditions, we need to stop in another city first so that we can refuel before continuing on to our destination.”
Uh…what?!?
Sampling the local sodas has been fun. Fanta “exotic” flavor wins—by a lot. Tuborg “squash” (Denmark, and thus found all over Greenland) comes in second and is a pretty solid orange soda. Iceland’s “applesin” is kinda bland compared with the other two.
