This is an excellent statement that other MPs, Greens and Labour especially, should be replicating. We urgently need a basic alignment across those political forces opposed to austerity - no to cuts, tax the rich. 1/2

Here is an example of what I was talking about yesterday where we have countlessly, endlessly, told the Home Office/Govt. what needs to change. 100s of organisations in agreement. Numerous solutions. And somehow we're told that no one knows the answer or how to fix the system.

“No one in the public inquiry ever gave us the truth…they engaged in a carousel of blame-pointing”. Thoughts with the Grenfell bereaved and survivors as they await the final report. Another key moment in their search for justice and accountability. theguardian.com/uk-news/articl…

The publication of the #Grenfell Tower Inquiry report is a key milestone for our community after a long and difficult process. Our thoughts are with all those who have suffered so much and continue to mourn their loved ones. Those 72 innocent souls remain #foreverinourhearts.

At Grenfell Testimony Week, Sandra Ruiz of Grenfell United shared an important message: ‘These recommendations need to be effected and acted on, and enforced. It’s that simple.’ We call on the Government to set up a mechanism to ensure inquiries result in proper change.

I am thinking of the Grenfell community today. The Grenfell Inquiry report due tomorrow is another stepping stone on the path to justice. But we shouldn't be under any illusions about how difficult and painful the process has been to endure. I hope this Govt. will take action.

Our Praxis 🧡 statement on the Grenfell Inquiry report and in solidarity with the Grenfell community. It has not passed us by that a huge number of bereaved, survivors and residents are from migrant communities. We stand together, calling for real change and justice.

Apply for this! It's such a brilliant progressive comms network to be part of. Designed for people who aren't traditionally represented in media so very much apply if you feel like this is you.

Super interesting how this will play out in terms of government backed Bills. Most intrigued by what Clive Lewis will prioritise as a leading figure on the Labour left. A real shame no Greens got in the top 20 as could have helped carve out priorities. Next session eh.

If you've got some spare time and you live in London - you should definitely volunteer your skills with the wonderful Akwaaba in Hackney. It's for the children, go on.
