The Preschool children have been very excited to watch our tadpoles emerge from the frogspawn and become more active in their new tank! The children are fascinated by them and have been using lots of new vocabulary to describe what they can see. #cabotfederation

Yr1 and Yr2 celebrated our first ever joint Art Exhibition on Wednesday. It was a great success with lovely feedback from the many adults who came along. There was even a chance for children to teach the adults some of their drawing skills.

Clifton explored symmetry in our maths lesson by folding shapes to check if we could find lines of symmetry. It was a great practical lesson to support our understanding. #cabotfederation

Year 6 mathematicians are working together to correct a math paper, discussing strategies and carefully checking calculations. #teamwork

In term 4, we learnt about gathering, collating and presenting data as computer scientists (we can put expert at excel on our future CVs) and we got to share with our parents last week! Cabot Federation

Our preschool children managed a fun-filled sports day event yesterday in between rain showers! The children showed off their gross motor skills as they followed a trail over, under, around and through obstacles to compete a course. #cabotfederation

Year 3 have been learning how to sew as designers! We practiced oversew and running stitch, designed a flag for the Wild Robot's Island and then delivered a prototype. Here are some of our finished flags. Cabot Federation

Today at cooking club we have made MUG CAKES! We loved to mix all the ingredients and watching it rise in the microwave (or explode!). Our favourite part was eating it all. Cabot Federation

What can you make out of a large cardboard box? Is it a bus, a plane, a bed or part of an obstacle course? Preschool and Reception enjoyed using their imagination to extend their play ideas this afternoon!

Yr2 had a special treat this week when the Explorer Dome came to MPA. We had the best, all immersive experience to build on our learning as scientists, more specifically as biologists looking at the human body. Look at the joy on the faces of our friends!

We used all our creative skills in cooking club to decorate biscuits with tie-dye patterns! It was great seeing the different way we could mix the icing. What a great last session - we all took home recipe books to recreate everything again! #cabotfederation
