The pleasure and honor are ours! What a terrific talk. The 200+ theatre was almost full with an additional 120+ audiences joining online. The room was buzzing with great questions, conversations and energy which I am sure will have a more lasting impact beyond the talk itself!

The #DigitalSovereignty & #OpenInternet discussion hosted by Quello Center & Internet Governance at Georgia Tech drew a good crowd. There's no consensus of what digital sovereignty means. I argue open internet can't exist w/t addressing negative externalities of big states & firms youtube.com/watch?v=e-y1Iz…

From 245% to 145% to “it won’t be zero” - the art of bluff. There is some truth to the joke that Washington plays Texas Hold’em; Moscow plays chess; Beijing plays go. Ironically, the erratic, bully style is self-defeating. America First may turn into America Alone. Not great.

Necessity is the mother of innovation. US sanctions continue to backfire. They may slow things down in the short term but in the medium and long term they accelerate tech self sufficiency.

Amazing. Ann Telnaes just won a Pulitzer Prize for her work at The Washington Post --- which she resigned from after they refused to run this cartoon.

The post-West, multipolar moment has arrived, accelerated by Trump tariffs that have clearly backfired. This is noting short of an economic and geopolitical miracle. Parallel dynamics were outlined in our book Digital Sovereignty in the BRICS Countries is.gd/VETALO

Can machines govern themselves? As #AI systems grow more powerful and opaque, argues Min Jiang, governance battles heat up between states, #tech giants, & public interest advocates. What’s at stake is nothing less than human autonomy. Read here: newamerica.org/planetary-poli…

Nice sportsmanship from Carlos Alcaraz in his match against Jannik Sinner at Roland Garros. Jannik hit a huge serve on the line that was called out. Carlos walks up to examine the mark and says it was in and concedes the point. ❤️

Jannik Sinner showing great sportsmanship in his match against Carlos Alcaraz at Roland Garros. Carlos’ shot is called out. The chair umpire comes down to check the mark but Jannik tells her not to bother and says the ball was in. These two. ❤️
