As lead matron for the week it has been tiring! But I can honestly say that we have amazing community staff that go above and beyond even when they are worried about their own loved ones #happytobeanurse

Yesterday I spent time talking to Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust’s urgent community response teams. I was so impressed to see colleagues from different sectors working together to respond rapidly and support patients to be cared for at home. An invaluable service, especially as we go into winter.

Incredibly poignant cartoon by ⁦Morten Morland⁩ in today’s Times. If you know someone who lives alone, perhaps bereaved, for whom today may hit especially hard, perhaps give them a ring later on 🖤
