JSW held food drive to benefit our community through Second Harvest Food Bank! Students & staff generously donated -- collecting an amazing 1,359 pounds of food, which translates into 1000 meals for our community. What a wonderful way to show compassion & teamwork this season🍽️

GV proudly supported those in need by donating to the Kindness Campaign! This effort provided essential hygiene items to the VA, non-perishable food to SHFB, & warm clothing donations to The Upper Room. What a way to make a meaningful difference right here in our community🧤🥫

ASB honored Children's Grief Awareness Day in blue style! Check out their collaborative Wall of Support lined with kind and hopeful messages to remind peers they are not alone. Asbury Ambassadors greeted students with blue stickers to start their day with hope and connection💙

Check out Mrs. Giles & Mrs. Fuhrman's science lesson from JSW! 7th graders learned how the nervous system works using the Backyard Brains interface -- sending electrical signals from one person's muscles to move their partner's hand! We loved this safe & interesting lesson🫸👀

ASB students enjoyed seasonal stories and Q&A with special guest, Dr. Cavanagh! This stop on the Stories With the Supers tour was a wonderful experience for all who participated. We love to see our elementary classrooms and Superintendents sharing their excitement for reading🤩📖

Ms. Myers' class at WL transformed into a restaurant for a math lesson on % ! Students practiced analyzing & solving percent problems by role playing as servers & patrons. They calculated total cost with tax, tip & more -- What a fun chance to practice these useful math skills🍽️

Congrats to the winners of the Attendance Matters contest at JSW! Students that had fewer than 4 absences during 1st quarter were entered into a raffle for fun prizes! Winners went home with either a 30-day jump pass for Elevate or 4 tickets to Erie Otters -- Way to go, JSW👏🤩

Mrs. Brzezinski & Mrs. Richards recently attended this year's NCTM conference! Together, they learned about best practices in mathematics education through interactive sessions & collaboration with other educators. They returned excited to share new ideas with their teams✈️👏

Check out this interactive graphing lesson from WC! Using a life-size graph, students rolled 2 dice to determine the y-intercept & slope of a linear graph. They plotted the path using a measuring tape to create a complete visual of the final solution. What a great math lesson📈

GV hosted 40+ local vendors at the annual Craft & Vendor Market in Nov.! It was the perfect chance for families to get a head start on holiday shopping -- with proceeds benefitting GV students through the PBIS program. Check out some of these awesome hand-crafted items🎁🤩
