Our crews spent around 14 hours dealing with a fire at the Cobblestone Pub today. No injuries, however the pub did sustain some heavy damage.

The smoke in our Fire district is from a fire in the Nanaimo Lakes area. There is no fire threat in our area at this time. Those with health concerns should stay indoors until the smoke clears.

The Mill Bay Fire Department is proud to announce that Captain Chris McInerney will become our next Fire Chief. Chris has been part of the Department for 20 years. He starts his new role December 1st 2022.

We do get aircraft incidents in our coverage area. We do train for those situations.
