Fun grafting along the Lincs coast today at Donna Nook/Rimac/Saltfleetby. 1 Yellow-browed Warbler, 2 Firecrests, 2 Ring Ouzels, 30+ Brambling and 1000’s of thrushes the best I could conjur, biggest surprise was an adult Turtle Dove at Donna Nook though weirdly (unringed)!

3 years ago today, a Pallas’s Warbler fresh in-off the sea on a foggy barren Breach at Spurn, hopping around our feet. Can’t say I’ve seen something similar since 😂

Leicestershire on a golden run of birds the past few months. This Dusky Warbler was a fantastic find by Mark Andrews at Aylestone Meadows, just outside Leicester City today. Some surprisingly good views, madly vocal too, never stopped calling. Really enjoyable bird

Big fan of Crossbills if you couldn’t tell. Some pretty extraordinary views in Nottinghamshire so far this winter, including 60-70 birds on Tuesday early doors.
