Contrary to what many preach on the nutrition front these days, being restrictive with eating for a short period of time is highly beneficial for fast results. Focus on results first and sustainability second. Why would you want to sustain a physique you’re unhappy with?

Holding out on giving clients too much information out of fear of them leaving or not needing you anymore, is literally insane. Give clients everything you’ve got. Every tool they need to get the best result possible. That’s what will keep them with you long-term.

Life is all about the stories. The story you live according to. The stories you create with your family, friends, loved ones, colleagues, business partners. The stories that will be told about you once you pass. Make sure they’re worth telling.

Sales as a PT is all about linking someone’s fitness values to your services. If you don’t discover their pain point and/or you don’t link how your methods will help solve them then be prepared for: “I’ll think about it” “I need to check my finances” “I’ll let you know”

Best way to beat a cold as you feel it coming on? Vitamin A. You have about a 2-day window to load up on Vit A before symptoms set in. Once the symptoms manifest it’s too late, and by then you want to be loading Vitamin D instead.

As Malcom Gladwell posited, it takes 10,000 hours before you get good at or can consider yourself an expert at something. For a PT doing 40 1-hour sessions a week, that’s approximately 5 years. Most PTs do closer to 20, meaning it’s more like 10 years. You’re just starting.

If you woke up tomorrow and the world had a become a zombie apocalypse, how long would you survive? Approach your training as if it’s life or death. Cause in reality it is. Even without the zombies chasing you around trying to eat you.

In the world of fitness, speed of results matter. The longer your journey drags on, the more likely you’ll fall off the wagon at some point. Get the result first, then look at fitting it with your lifestyle, not the other way round.

One of the fastest ways to increase client compliance? Charge more. If clients aren’t following what you are giving them, it’s because the sacrifice isn’t big enough. And if you think people won’t pay 2,3, 4 x what you’re currently charging, then there’s your first problem.
