I first saw Argentina play in 1997, at Athetic Park, Wtn. The ABs won 93-8 and in the closing minutes the crowd chanted ‘we want 100.’ How humiliating it must’ve been for the outclassed Pumas. So how brilliant is it that, 25yrs later, they’ve beaten us on our turf.

Grant Robertson just gave a brilliant speech in the House to wrap up the fair pay agreements bill, the final vote then greeted with a standing ovation and waiata

I can’t think of any opposition leader in recent times who’s as reckless with numbers as Luxon, his deceit over the Health comms workforce being the latest example

Chris Bishop’s bleating about negative campaigning suggests he’s blanked the covert attack machine run by Nats and allies on Key’s watch, which provided enough grubbiness to fill a Hager book

Luxon’s ignorance about govt processes would be comic if such matters weren’t so serious. He simply has no idea of the important safeguards around sacking a police commissioner or RB governor, as item on Politik shows today

Loose lips Luxon slagging off NZ again. His claim on Report that our standing in the world has fallen under this govt is ridiculous. The management of the Chch mosque massacre won Ardern and her govt international acclaim, as did our management of pandemic

It’s deeply worrying that the man that Luxon will rely on to form a govt is so bitter and twisted that he spreads misinformation about events on one of our darkest days

Unprecedented for duty ministers to go missing in action over xmas hols - nothing to say about disasters in key trade partner Japan, not even customary PM congrats to NY honours recipients

Great news that NZ school of music is close to getting a new home as part of a national music centre in central Wtn, 15 years after a shortsighted Nat govt cancelled a $10m grant the Clark-Cullen govt put up for same purpose..

I love the way Williamson almost looks embarrassed to acknowledge a century, even after 32 of them. The guy’s humility is without parallel

What a lame effort from Maiki on 1News poll - govt support hasn’t moved since election, Luxon miles behind numbers that Ardern/Key/Clark got after becoming PM, yet Sherman focuses on the Opposition leader as a new govt bumbles thru its first 100 days..

Latest child poverty numbers are a worry but shudder to think where they’d be now without last govt’s $5.5b families package in 2018, raising benefits 3 years in row, minimum wage increases, indexing of benefits to wage growth, big boosts to Working for Families etc

The unbelievably trite lead story in The Post today has taken that newspaper’s campaign against Tory Whanau to new depths

I’ve never seen such disintegration so early in the life of a govt, but inevitable given its competence and credibility issues

Aging ferry aground, national grid pylon falls over, air force VIP jet breaks down, schools’ operational funding fails to keep up with inflation - getting back on track seems to be going well
