Working through this same set with our 8-year-old. We stumbled across some giants and laid eyes on Harfang tonight before bedtime.

Wrapping up 9 weeks of a Wednesday night study through James with several dozen friends tonight. We made it through chapter 3 together and, while I’m more of a completionist at heart, the slower, longer, more pensive approach to studying the Scriptures has been really refreshing.

Calling God's people in North Carolina: I have a young friend who has just become a Christian (a few weeks ago) & is about to move to Burnsville NC for a job. I want her to be well loved & welcomed by God's people there. If you live in or near Burnsville, please shout out!

Read this on the train up to the North Shore for some time off this week. A fantastic Baptist primer from Luke Stamps & Matt Emerson that pulls the thread of the Baptist-covenantal hermeneutic through the whole volume. Also glad for brief reflections re: Baptist sacramentalism.

I read a decent amount with people and give away other books but I think these 4 are the ones I give away copies of the most. Ministry context accounts for most of the reasons why I’m sure.
