Saw a HS box score from a softball game played yesterday. Two pitchers - 1 each side - combined to throw 40 innings and more than 500 pitches. I admire the toughness that takes. But I have to ask: What the hell are we doing?

On Sunday, our Emily Webb and Remington (Remi) Werden took part in a camp held at UI-Springfield. Emily is committed to UI-S while Remi is still exploring her options. Looking forward to seeing these two work together this season!

I love it when prospective college coaches make a player interested in their program feel important. As dumb as that sounds, sadly that’s not always the case.

The Ryder Cup just might be the best sporting event on the planet. If it’s not it definitely has a seat at the table of greatness.

Heading into the postseason for Hermann HS, our Taylor R. Carver is swinging a big stick. On Monday our 2028 tripled twice, doubled and drove in two Hermann’s 10-6 win. Keep going youngun! Keep that bat hot for the next 3 weeks😊😊

Cannot wait to get these young women together. We don’t fear the unknown. We embrace it!

So happy to see kids who aren’t getting the offers they hoped for opt for the JUCO route. Take those 2 years and get even better rather than take an offer you didn’t want. Every level is a good level, but if you have the goal, don’t give up. Just choose a new path to get there!
