things like waiting for ignis, finding yourself alone without your party members and how that immediately turns the game into a stealth game, the way ever-present and invisible mechanics like the campsites and photos become emotionally load bearing. it's just incredible work

i think its funny that the back stretch of ff15 has the reputation of being one of the low points due to its production difficulties when i would argue what they actually released is easily the best narrative design work in the franchise in at least the past decade
