Congrats to 2018 Midlo grad, Jack Stid, for finishing a full Ironman Triathlon in Mont-Tremblant QC, Canada. For those of you that don’t know, that’s a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bicycle ride and running a full marathon (26.2 miles). An amazing achievement, Jack!

Congrats to Midlo goalie, Oz Potter, who has committed to play lacrosse next year at Randolph-Macon College. Go Yellow Jackets!

Midlo went 5-0 last Monday at the MLK Day Tournament in Fredericksburg, Va. Second year in a row they won the championship. Congrats!

This is from Midlo’s Regional Championship in ‘18 vs WAHS.  These four sophomores, Paul Miller, Zach Harriman, Derek Christmas, Oz Potter, would become co-captains their senior year. We honor them for their terrific contributions to Midlo Lax and the legacy they leave behind.

Midlo Lax News would like to recognize each senior. First up is Paul Miller, captain. Paul’s favorite lax memory is scoring the winning goal against James River in OT in 2019. Paul will attend Drexel University in the fall and study photography. Best of luck, Paul!

Derek Christmas, captain, indicated his favorite lax memories are beating Deep Run his junior season and being on the field every day with his older brother, Trevor ‘18. Derek will be attending Virginia Tech in the fall where he will be studying Business. All the best, Derek!

Oz Potter, captain, will be attending Randolph-Macon College in the fall where he will play goalie for the Yellow Jackets and pursue a bachelors of science in nursing (BSN). Oz’ favorite lax memory is when Midlo teammate, Paul Miller, scored the winning goal in OT against JR.

Jacob Lucero, class of 2020, shared that his favorite Midlo lax memory was a 7 v 7 tournament which Midlo won. Jacob is off to college in the fall, although he is still uncertain to where he’ll be attending. Best of luck with everything, Jacob.

Wes Singer, Class of 2020, will be attending High Point University this fall. Wes shared that his favorite Midlo lax memory was beating James River during his junior year. Congrats, Wes, and best of luck at HPU next year.

Midlo Lax honors the 2009 Trojans, our first varsity team, with a W over Clover Hill. Tonight the team wore the original gold jerseys from our first season. The '09 squad went 14-5 and reached the RALL championship game finishing one goal short vs an outstanding Deep Run team.
