Flying visit from my self-imposed exile from Twitter to share photos and news from today's MBRN conference with Islam UK Centre at Cardiff University The subject is transformation and Muslim convert experience, led ably by Sophie Gilliat-Ray and @DrAsmaKhan7's project.

I chaired a fascinating, almost frighteningly synergistic panel on history and legacy of late 19th C European converts to Islam. Apologies that it was indeed a manel, though female scholars are amply featured at MBRN #ConvertsConference

A really interesting proposal from the last plenary MBRN #ConvertsConference about guidance for UK mosques on how to receive & support converts. Maybe where Islam UK Centre's Imams project could look at *how* to disseminate this.
