I ended up switching to tabs when Rich Harris made a solid case for the better accessibility of tabs, plus I realized that with tabs everyone can have whatever indentation they want — the only downside is that GitHub has the absolutely unhinged 8-space tab size hard-coded 😅

I’ve been preaching this for many years. Typography informs most other areas of a websites design. From readability, to the baseline, spacing, gutters, grid widths. My default is to start with an article page and the first chapter of the Theory of Evolution in German. 😂
