The Royal College of Psychiatristsscot welcomes the decision by the @rcpsych to withdraw an advertised Personality Disorder training event, and the apology for the wholly unacceptable language and tone of the published materials.

Just to clarify this was indeed an April Fool, and not a funny one, as it highlights the sad reality that mental health nursing students often don't get enough mental health in their education. This needs to change, because people who receive mental health care deserve better.

So sad that this is a April Fool… However has generated good positive responses had it been real - which raises the need for mental health nurses to lobby for this to happen.

On Tuesday we said a very sad goodbye to our Interim Chief Nurse Les Petrie who is retiring after a wonderful 33.5 years in the NHS ❤️. We will miss him so much, thank you for your commitment, your passion and your humour. Wishing you a long and happy retirement!

Interesting read. I'm always surprised but how the critical voices (especially around the diagnosis of personality disorder) are so much louder in the UK than internationally.

This is a great short and accessible book for understanding trauma. Some great ways of explaining important concepts.
