Taxing billionaires would improve our societies and reduce ordinary people’s taxes. Exactly how to do it differs by jurisdiction ft.com/content/f0eee3…

When Labor MPs go back to their electorates, they tell people they want climate action. But here is Peter Khalil, Josh Burns, Ged Kearney and Justine Elliot all voting to ram through a bill to fast-track big gas projects and silence First Nations voices. People won’t forget.

Purely anecdotal but the breadth & depth of despair from non-political ppl at Labor’s weak response re Gaza in communities like Wills is like nothing I’ve seen before. School parent WhatsApp threads, suburb FB groups, hairdresser floors - all horrified. Gaza will change votes.

At the heart of the Direct Instruction model is checking for understanding which is what makes it a highly interactive way of teaching. It will surprise many to read that DI is the “opposite of the lecture format.”

Today I officially become a former senator. I feel sad, excited and grateful. I'll still be working for a just, green world while also taking a much needed break when I can. See you around the traps, and cheers!

I’m honoured to be the Greens candidate for Wills 💚 Wills is one of the most important seats in the country, all eyes will be on our community at the next federal election. This is our chance to lead the nation. If just 1 in 10 people change their vote here then we can win.🧵

Labor is ignoring the main recommendation from their own report and will not be opening a second safe injecting room in Victoria. I reckon they will open one eventually, but only after more deaths from overdoses of heroin, fentanyl and nitazenes. Question is, how many deaths?

The Victorian Labor Government is treating those in need in our community with such disdain. Evidence based health policy is nothing compared to scoring cheap points with voters who have no intention of voting for you.

Caring isn’t just my family's story, it is the story of millions, caring for each other, dealing with tough times, and keeping going with love. Sharing our story hasn't been easy, but it's important. It's time to bring carers' experiences into the light.

Take a guess how long it would take a nurse, teacher or childcare worker to save for a home? NONE of the top ten most common professions can afford to buy a home. None. Zero.
