Wouldn’t it be great for America if a block of Republicans and Democrats work together to pick a Speaker to run a coalition-style government? A coalition allows the House to create policy from the middle out rather than the extremes in.

It’s inspiring to witness otherwise fierce competitors rally together around the care for an ill athlete… yet our government representatives can’t rally together around even the basics of governing. I’m not much of a football fan, but have a ton more respect for the athletes.
