Favorite #SRECon moment -- talking on a panel with @lauralifts, Narayan Desai, @ritasodt, and Theo Schlossnagle about data pipelines. In particular @lauralifts observation that most architecture concerns of synchronous server tiers also apply to pipelines.

To extend the analogy: in simple data pipelines, can think of producers as the LB layer and consumers as service nodes. Pipelines have fundamentally similar load-distribution, cache efficiency, queue-time, and state duration concerns as syncrhonous services.
