Join me World Museum π on Saturday at 11am where me and expert bee keeper Andrea Ku will be comparing and contrasting bee keeping from Ancient Egypt and today as well as discussing some surprising ancient uses for honey and wax. Saturday 20 July at 11am, drop in!
Really proud to speak today at #TUC2024 on a motion calling for more action to protect the rights of migrant workers for PCS Union (pcs.org.uk)! The motion was unanimously passed.

Just accepted an unconditional offer to go back to Archaeology, Classics & Egyptology at Liv Uni to start research on the spatial organisation of these amazing tombs (and others) at Qubbet el-Hawa. Excited beyond belief. Now the hard work begins! Keeping the day job, giving up sleep.
Really proud to help organise Liverpool's annual Trans Day of Remembrance Museum of Liverpool to commemorate those who have been killed or taken their own lives due to transphobia. A powerful and poignant event that centres Trans and Non-Binary community voices and lived experience.
I had a wonderful day at the Museum stores yesterday, getting up close with all the amazing objects not on display. Massive thanks to Ashley Cooke π for putting up with us going slightly feral in the racking.
Never thought I'd be the type to set homework, but here I am, drunk with power and a red marker! Really enjoying delving into hieroglyphs once more World Museum π... frying brains and transliterating inscriptions!
