Following John Wesley's death in 1791, sales ceramic items featuring his image boomed. These Staffordshire creamware teapots in the collection were made in the late 1700s. Collectively these commemorative items are known as "Wesleyana." Perhaps you have some at home?! #Wesleyana

Plain Truth for Plain People: The Folk Theology of John Wesley, "The Circumcision of the Heart" (Sermon 17) ___ Although this theme is rooted in Pauline theology, Wesley adapts it to his own context in eighteenth-century Anglicanism. allanrbevere.substack.com/p/plain-truth-…

You should definitely read the Talbot Davis review of Bishop Will Willimon's new book on the #UMC disaffiliation of Buncombe Street Methodist Church in South Carolina. baptistnews.com/article/this-i…

Chris Ritter Talbot Davis Nice work, Talbot. Willimon’s cruel misunderstanding of why churches disaffiliated has been 1 of my biggest disappointments in the whole mess. He hasn’t even tried, publicly, to be pastoral or to understand; he only wants to attack. He’s become a Trump-like figure. Heartbreaking.

Collin Rugg I like the Cracker Barrel that had games on the table! This new, refreshed look loses what makes them unique. It’s like going to the movies: it’s an escape. There are plenty of contemporary restaurants available!

Called "the nation's most influential evangelical leader" by The New York Times, James Dobson has passed away. He wasn’t the easiest personality to get along with, but a generation of parents looked to him for advice on childrearing.juicyecumenism.com/2025/08/21/jam…

The struggle continues… This is Rev. Reuben L. Speaks, who at the time was Pastor of St. Mark AME Zion Church, Durham, NC. He would later become the Senior Bishop of the AME Zion Church. The Freedom Church.
