A must-read thread. We must not sacrifice selflessness and altruism on the altar of egoism. And saying “volunteering is good for your own ambitions” trains people to be fundamentally selfish. We don’t need counterfeit selflessness.

Wesley didn’t start a movement to make nicer Anglicans. He raised up a people burning with Scripture, holiness, and mission. Anything less is not Methodism.

If He’s truly God made flesh, then the one who bore Him really is the God-bearer. That’s just basic Incarnational theology
