Safe to say that the Mind Sports Olympiad is going a lot better for me than it usually does! Have picked up medals for Backgammon (gold), Chess and Poker (bronze) and have a couple of other decent scores in Lines of Action and 6 Nimmt. Let's see how long this lasts...

Just back from the Scarborough Chess Congress, although with a difference. As a small tribute to the legend that was Mike Basman, I played the Grob in all 5 games! Just scored 2/5 but that was more spoiling good positions than anything. Was only really worse from the opening once

Taken about 3 years but finally got round to spending my The Chase winnings on a Vegas trip. A great experience, even if the poker was eventually marred by an expensive bad beat. A wonderful experience though, including a Penn & Teller show & a Grand Canyon flight. Mark Labbett
