Some huge news on Temporary Protected Status. ARCHIVED: Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas just extended four current TPS designations which were set to expire in the next few months: - El Salvador - Venezuela - Ukraine - Sudan This will extend 18 additional months of protection for roughly 850,000 people.

Quick correction on numbers; DHS says these four countries' designations cover roughly 937,000 people, not 850,000. - El Salvador (232,000) - Venezuela (600,000) - Ukraine (103,700) - Sudan (1,900)

The Biden administration can build on their successful use of #TPS by extending & redesignating #TPSforHonduras and #TPSforNicaragua. TPS protections are crucial to creating a more humane, safe, & orderly immigration system that keeps families & individuals safe & together.

I think that today's #DACA decision is a big deal The 5th Cir. Appellate Court recognized the federal govt.'s argument that DACA's protection from deportation makes ICE's job easier So the court would allow that part of DACA to remain, while cutting the work permits
